This workshop will introduce you to the theory and practise of eco-printing with eucalyptus leaves on cotton. You are invited to bring along 2 items of cotton clothing (or fabric, scarves, cushion covers etc), to transform with natural plant dyes. Over the day, you will learn about and participate in:
Leaf collection and preparation
Fabric mordanting
Placing leaves
Wrapping bundles
Cooking
Unbundling
Fabric aftercare
You will go home with some beautiful, naturally dyed fabric but also the skills and knowledge to create more with this method on your own.
