How can we respectfully gather and use the raw materials of this earth to create objects for our personal and magical use?

Using eco-printing as spellcraft and earth connection, we will explore the elements of earth, fire, air, water and spirit. We will connect to the land through deep listening, ritual discussion and sharing. Learning core tools of magical practice and developing skills in things such as ritual, trance and visualisation, grounding, self-reflection, spellcraft, raising energy, skills for personal practice and magical group work.

Over the weekend, we will create magical altar cloths or ritual shawls through the medium of eco-printing – a natural dyeing technique where leaves are printed directly onto fabric.

This is a core class in the Reclaiming tradition where we learn the foundational skills of witchcraft. It is suitable for people of all experiences: those new to witchcraft and paganism, those who are experienced in their own magical practice and curious about Reclaiming style magic. Experienced Reclaiming folk who want to strengthen and nourish their roots are also welcome. No previous experience is required. This is work that is never finished, we return to it again and again.

This workshop will be held on Dharawal country in Campbelltown and local bushland. It is public transport accessible. Please bring a journal and pen, comfortable clothing, something to sit on in the bush, snacks, and something to contribute to a shared vegetarian lunch each day. We will provide tea and coffee.

Value-exchange (price) for the workshop is set on a sliding scale $200 to $350. You are invited to pay what is appropriate to your income. We are committed to making this work available to people of all financial means – please contact us if this cost is still prohibitive so we can negotiate other options. A 50% deposit is required upon registration to hold your place in this workshop.
We will be operating under COVID-19 social distancing restrictions so numbers in this workshop are limited to allow for 1.5 meter spacing between participants.

The processes and activities will be centred on adult learning, though children accompanied by adults are welcome. Please contact us to discuss this.

I am an artist, maker and magical bushland creature. I live on Darug and Gundungurra country, on a dissected plateau known as the Blue Mountains. Here I dye clothes with leaves, play with my coven kin and help run seasonal public rituals. I delight in wild, embodied and nature-based magic.
